Winery crop protection library

Description

The Winery Crop Protection Library provides a structured and manageable overview of products suitable for use in vineyards. Our goal is to offer comprehensive, country-specific libraries; however, we are not fully there yet. For Belgian users, the current library is up to date for the 2024 regulations but does not yet reflect the changes for 2025. To address this, we have introduced a feature that allows users to create and add their own crop protection products, ensuring they are visible within the crop protection list.

Design

The Winery crop protection library can be found on the side bar (1), under the registration activity.

In the table each product has a status Active/Archived and optional ‘Used in step’ (2)

New items can be added via the recognizable button (3) on the top right

The products can be edited when they are not in use (4) and (5) archived, when used, or deleted, when not yet used.

Archived (6) products can be reactivated, if needed.

How to use

The library enables you to manage and add products that are not yet available in the country's crop protection product list. When adding a new product, several fields are mandatory:

• Recognition Code: The official identification code assigned to the product in your country. Each product must have a unique recognition code; duplicates are not permitted.
• Product Name: Enter the name of the product.
• Formulation Type: Specify the formulation type, such as powder, liquid, etc.
• Product Type: Select the appropriate product type from a predefined list, including options such as fungicides, herbicides, and wetting agents.
• Bio Checkbox: While not mandatory, this field is important. If selected, the system will categorize and display the product as a biological (bio) product in the list.

When registering steps, active products in the library will be available in the crop protection, archived products will not.  After archiving products, these will still be visible in the trace vineyard.

Feature upgrades

Date formatting

After the library update some views did not handle the dates conform the user settings. This has been improved.

Improved visualisation for biological products

It is now more visualy clear in the crop protection product list which product is biological certified and which not. This will improve your usage.

When working with a biologically certified vineyard and deactivating the "Only Biological" filter, the platform will issue a warning indicating that you are about to register non-biological products on a biologically certified vineyard.

Improved filter on type of product for product list

We have enhanced the crop protection product list. It will now be prefilled based on the type of product selected in the corresponding field. Selecting multiple product types is also supported.
